Strawberry Pie

  

 Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 cups diced strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 4 cups sliced strawberries
  • 1 pie crust

Directions

  1. Mix sugar, cornstarch, water, and diced strawberries in a pot over medium heat. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.. 
  2. Once thickened, add butter and allow to melt. Stir and remove from heat. 
  3. Blind bake a pie crust in a pan and allow to cool. 
  4. Once cool, layer sliced strawberries and thickened filling until both are used up. 
  5. Allow to set in the fridge for at least 4 hours.
