Pretzel Bites

 Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 teaspoons of active dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 1/2 cups of warm water 
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 4 cups of unbleached, all purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons of baking soda
  • coarse salt

Directions

  1. Dissolve yeast, sugar, and honey in warm water. Let rest for about 10 minutes.
  2. Mix flour and salt in a large bowl and pour your yeast mixture in. 
  3. Mix until combined and let rest for 10 minutes.
  4. Now knead for about 10 minutes or mix with a dough hook on medium speed for 5-7 minutes. 
  5. Allow to rise for an hour or until doubled in size. 
  6. Cut into 12 strips and then cut to your preferred nuggets size. 
  7. Bowl about a quart of water with your baking soda. Once boiling, turn heat down and add nuggets in batches. Keep in for roughly 30 seconds, remove and place on a baking sheet. 
  8. Sprinkle with coarse salt and bake at 425 for roughly 8 minutes. 
  9. Enjoy!
