Pretzel Bites
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 teaspoons of active dry yeast
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 1 1/2 cups of warm water
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 4 cups of unbleached, all purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons of baking soda
- coarse salt
Directions
- Dissolve yeast, sugar, and honey in warm water. Let rest for about 10 minutes.
- Mix flour and salt in a large bowl and pour your yeast mixture in.
- Mix until combined and let rest for 10 minutes.
- Now knead for about 10 minutes or mix with a dough hook on medium speed for 5-7 minutes.
- Allow to rise for an hour or until doubled in size.
- Cut into 12 strips and then cut to your preferred nuggets size.
- Bowl about a quart of water with your baking soda. Once boiling, turn heat down and add nuggets in batches. Keep in for roughly 30 seconds, remove and place on a baking sheet.
- Sprinkle with coarse salt and bake at 425 for roughly 8 minutes.
