Disney Pickle Corn Dogs
Ingredients
- 6 Large Pickles
- 6 Hot Dogs
- Use this recipe for the batter (make half): https://natashaskitchen.com/corn-dogs-recipe/
- Panko Bread Crumbs
- Any king of cheetos or takis or anything else you wanna crush up and put on the dogs before frying
Directions
- Cut a hole through your pickle (I used a zucchini corer) and dry it to the best of your abilities.
- Slide a hotdog into the hole and cut off the ends.
- Prepare your batter.
- Dry your pickle dog once more and put a stick through the middle with half of the stick still sticking out. If you have time, chill your pickle at this point for about 30 minutes.
- Before you pull them out, prepare your frying pan. In a pan, get 2-3 inches of oil to about 350F.
- Pour your batter into a glass and dip your dogs in. Get the pickle dog completely covered, raise up, and hold over the glass until all excess drips off.
- Prepare a plate with some panko bread crumbs (and/or crushed cheetos/takis) and roll your dog in it until covered.
- Put a couple dogs in at a time - it is best if they are completely covered, but if you can't achieve that - it's totally fine! Fry for about 2 minutes, turn over, and fry for 2-3 more minutes. You're looking for a decently dark brown all over.
- Put them on a wire wrack to cool a bit and excess oil will drip off.
- Enjoy with whatever your heart desires. (Disney serves them with peanut butter, but I prefer yellow mustard.)
