Giant Garlic Knots
Ingredients
- Pizza dough (enough for 2 large pizzas) - if you're making it from scratch - I suggest Roberta's Pizza Dough found here
- 1 clove of garlic
- 3 tablespoons of melted butter (42.5 g)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (26.6 g)
- 1 teaspoon oregano (1 g)
- 1 tablespoon freshly chopped parsley (3.8 g)
- 1 teaspoon salt (5.9 g)
- 2-3 tablespoons of grated parmesan (11-16.5 g)
- Shredded Parmesan to top
Directions
- Roast garlic by cutting off the top 1/4 inch of the clove of garlic, wrap in aluminum foil with 2 tablespoons of olive oil over top and baking at 400 for about 40 minutes.
- Flatten pizza dough and cut into 12 strips. Roll into logs with a 1-inch diameter, about 12-14 inches long. Tie each in a knot and tuck the tails into the knot where you can.
- Mix melted butter, olive oil, oregano, parsley, salt, grated parmesan, and squeeze in the roasted garlic.
- Saving 2 tablespoons of the mixture, pour the butter mixture over all of the knots.
- Bake at 400 for 15 minutes, or until golden.
- Toss the knots in the rest of the mixture and eat up!
Make Pie. Not War.
